Bosnia-Herzegovina Visa Information:
For the purposes of private visit, guarantee letter/invitation by a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, shall be submitted together with the visa application.

Guarantee letter: (private visit)
Guarantee letter is a statement by which a citizen of BiH or a foreign citizen to whom permanent residence in BiH has been approved, overtakes as her/his obligation to provide accommodation to a foreign citizen, settle costs of medical treatment and provide support as well as settle other costs that may be incurred during the period of a foreign citizen’s stay in BiH, as well as costs of her/his exit from the country.

Guarantee letter contents: Guarantee letter must include an explicit statement by the guarantee provider confirming under the moral and criminal responsibility to undertake the costs of medical treatment, provide support and settle other costs that may be incurred during the period of a foreign citizen’s stay in BiH, as well as costs of her/his exit from the country.

Guarantee statement must include first and last name, date and place of birth, ID number, as well as address of residence of the guarantee provider, first and last name, date and place of birth, foreign citizen’s passport number to whom a guarantee is to be given, including the reason for stay and a period for which a foreign citizen will stay in BiH. Guarantee letter form.

Certification of the guarantee letter: In order for a guarantee letter  to be valid, it has to be certified by the Ministry of Interior of the Canton – Department for foreign citizens in the Federation of BiH, or by the communal Ministry of Interior in Republika Srpska.
The Ministry of Interior of the Canton in the Federation of BiH or the communal Ministry of Interior in Republika Srpska certifies guarantee letter if  evidences are presented in regard to holding the means for settlement of obligations undertaken by guarantee letter.
For the purposes of tourist travel, a request shall be submitted together with a voucher from tourist organization.
For the purposes of business travel, business invitation by the partner from Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent economy chamber, shall be submitted together with the application.

Invitation: (business visit)
Invitation is a documents issued by a local or foreign legal entity registered in BiH by which a foreign business partner is invited to business visit.
Business visit is a non-working permit of the foreign citizen’s stay on the BiH territory.
Invitation should include data on the legal entity invited by a foreigner  to a business visit, including evidence on that legal entity’s solvency, first and last name of invited person, the purpose of business visit and an explicit consent from the party inviting a foreigner to settle the costs of the visit.
Invitation should be certified by the competent Ministry of Interior and competent economy chamber by business residence of the guarantee provider.

A request shall be submitted together with a photo.
Taxes for visa issuance in diplomatic-consular offices:
