Micronesia Visa information:
All FSM citizens travelling overseas must hold a valid passport for travel. Birth certificates are NOT acceptable for travel. In the near future, the FSM will be issuing machine-readable passports and countries may start required machine-readable passports for entry.
It is the responsibility of individual citizens to maintain current passports and to obtain a machine readable passport from the FSM Department of Justice, Division of Immigration, once they become available. Passports should always be valid at least 3 – 6 months beyond the date of departure from a country. It may also be useful to handcarry a copy of the Department of Homeland Security’s FACT SHEET when travelling overseas and returning or transiting via the United States. This may help facilitate and ease your arrival and entry through the US, if you encounter agents who might be unfamiliar with the Compact of Free Association. Below are lists of the different countries, divided regionally and arranged alphabetically.
