The Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe consists of the two islands of "Sao Tome" and "Principe" and a number of smaller islets all situate in the Gulf of Guinea.
Sao Tome lies approximately 180 miles from the coast of Gabon and is crossed by the equator at it's southern tip. Principe is 160 miles from the coast of Equatorial Guinea. Sao Tome has a land area of 330 square miles and Principe has a land area of 42 square miles. The islands are volcanic in origin and rise to a height of 6,639 feet above sea level.Entry Requirement:A passport, visa, and evidence of yellow fever vaccination are required for entry. Visas must be obtained in advance.
