Bangladesh Visa Information:
People’s Republic of Bangladesh, is a country in South Asia. It is situated on the east of of India.
Bangladesh as a holiday territory possesses a lot of features . Her tourist attractions consist of archaeological venues , famous mosques and scenery , hotels , coastline , picnic areas , jungle and wildlife . Bangladesh offers ventures for angling , water-skiing , river voyaging , hiking , rowing , exploring , yachting and sea Swimming as well as taking one in near contact with Natural Beauty . She is also full of wildlife and birds .
PASSPORTS: Passport valid for 3 months after departure required by all. VISAS: Required by all except the following:

Visa Exception:
Citizens of 24 Nations are exempted from Visa to enter Bangladesh, they are as followed:
Nationals of Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Bhutan, Dominica, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Jamaica, Guyana, Honduras, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Montserrat, Papua New Guinea, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, Uruguay, Vatican City and Zambia for stays of up to 90 days; Transit passengers continuing their journey the same for first connecting aircraft provided holding valid onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport; Tourist and business travelers arriving at Zia, Dhaka and Patenga international airports provided holding return air tickets may be granted ‘landing permission’ by the Chief Immigration Officer for stays of up to 15 days.
Note: Bangladeshi nationals holding dual citizens need not have a visa provided their passport is stamped with “No Visa Required”. Types of visa and cost: Entry, Visit, Tourist and Business.
• Visa fee for US Citizens is $21. Please enquire at any Bangladesh Mission in the United States for visa fee for nationals of other countries
• he following nationals can get their visas free of charge: Bhutan, Bolivia, Botswana, Gabon, Guinea, India, Iran, Japan, Namibia, Paraguay, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Tanzania, Tonga and Trinidad & Tobago.
Validity: Single-entry: 6 months from date of issue for stays of up to 90 days. Double-entry: months from date of issue. Multiple-entry: 6-12 months from date of issue. Stays are for a maximum of 90 days each. Application to: Consular Section at Embassy or High Commission (see Embassy Section)

Letter of request from the employer/news agency clearly stating the purpose of the visit. Please note that minimum processing time for this category of visa is 2 weeks. Persons/Network/Organization requesting for shooting/filming in Bangladesh are required to fill in Form FF-1 and FF-2, in addition to the visa application form. |
How to Apply for Visa
To obtain a visa the applicant must submit the following:
1. Passport with minimum 6 (six) months validity.
2. Filled-in visa application (DIP Form-4). (Incomplete application will be returned without visa.)
3. Appropriate amount of Visa fee through Bank Cheque/Postal Money Order in favour of “Bangladesh High Commission, Canberra”. Cash or personal check or company cheque is not accepted. For visa fee please see below.
4. Two recent photographs (size: 45 mm wide X 35 mm high or close to this).
5. Self-addressed pre-paid registered envelope or return pre-paid courier.
6. Relevant supporting papers depending upon the purpose of visit.
